Alex Jeikner, Ph.D., serves as associate professor in the English and Modern Language Department at the American College of Greece – Deree. She has been teaching English Literature courses as well writing and research courses for almost 15 years, and in 2020, she received the award for Excellence in Teaching. She has published two articles examining the contribution of children’s fin-de-siècle literature to constructions of gender, class and national identity through an analysis of sartorial images. In 2016, she presented the paper "Integrity in Greece: The Shared Acceptance of Corrupt Practices, the Crisis, and the Educator" at the Inaugural Mediterranean 'Conference Integrity as a Way Forward'.
