Brewing Integrity: What a Turkish Teapot Taught Me About AI

This post started in a kitchen. Well, an imaginary one. This summer, Mary Davis wrote to ask whether I would join a panel for the International Day of Action for Academic Integrity. This year's theme was Recipes for Integrity: Sharing Your Signature Dish, and our session, led by Lorna Waddington, would be called Integrity Kitchens Around the World in the Age of GenAI. Then came the twist: Lorna's idea was that each panelist would bring a kitchen utensil and explain how it represents integrity.

Reflections on IDoA 2026 Recipes for Integrity: Sharing your signature dish

The International Day of Action for Academic Integrity (IDoA 2026) took place on October 21. With our theme of Recipes for Integrity, I think we may have hit our most successful, relatable metaphor and means of engaging and having fun with students in many different cultural contexts.

Special Edition of #IntegrityMatters: Remembering the Wit, Wisdom and Advocacy of Derek Newton

The ICAI community mourns the loss of one of our loudest supporters: Derek Newton, author of the Cheat Sheet, who passed away after a battle with cancer. You can read the announcement here from his beloved partner, Danielle. And to Danielle, please accept our deepest condolences as you navigate this loss.
