I am in the process of creating a university website for AI and would love to hear about experiences with video tutorials: any great ones out there? Ones that aren’t worth the time or money? Do you create your own content or buy a license? Does your school require student participation? If so, how is that enforced? Any information or advice would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks,

Hi Kabrina -at UC San Diego, we have never purchased video tutorials. We have created our own internal Integrity Tutorial for our students and any new student is required to take it. We enforce it by tying it to their student accounts – so if they don’t take it by the Monday of 5th week, there is a hold put on their account and they can’t register for the next term’s classes.

If you’d like to see our tutorial, you can do so at –

re: off the shelf ones – I was working wtih Epigeum on creating an entire AI curriculum for online that could be purchased and modified in LMS for campuses. Although we’re currently on hold for the North American market at the moment, they do have one that was written for Australian/UK students. Unfortunately, it doesn’t really fit the american setting.

two other off-the-shelf ones out there:

University of Aukland -meant to be used by anyone – I recall taking it a few years ago. It was good but intensive.

RAISE – – I haven’t seen this one for a long time but back when it was created, it had some issues that made ICAI opt to not endorse it.
