Denney, Valerie Associate Professor, Department of Decision Sciences Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University ICAI President Dr. Valerie Denney is a faculty member with teaching, research and service interest in complex business decision making including academic integrity, business ethics, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Dr. Denney retired from the aerospace industry where she was responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned programs and business portfolio exceeding $500 million. She began her transition to academic integrity after decades addressing business ethics in industry and discovering issue and solution similarities in the academy. Valerie began service to ICAI in 2019 and has become increasingly active through participation in the membership, strategic planning, research and productization committees. She is active in service to the profession by serving as the immediate past chair of the Project Management Institute Ethics Committee in addition to her current role on ICAI. Valerie has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, MS in Technical Program Management, and DBA in the Management of Engineering and Technology. In academic integrity, Valerie has a strong interest in proactive integrity approaches to maximize cheating resistant course design.

Stephens, Jason The University of Auckland ICAI Vice President for Research & Outreach Jason M. Stephens is an Associate Professor in the School of Learning, Development, and Professional Practice in the Faculty of Education and Social Work at The University of Auckland. In addition to teaching courses on human development and learning at the university, Jason serves as an Academic Integrity Advisor for his faculty. His primary research interests include human motivation, ethical functioning, cheating behavior, and the promotion of academic integrity. He is a co-author of two books (Educating Citizens and Creating a Culture of Academic Integrity) as well as numerous journal articles and other publications related to these interests. Jason earned his BA at the University of Vermont, M.Ed. at Vanderbilt University, and Ph.D. at Stanford University.

Wilson, Blaire Emory University ICAI Vice President for Strategy & Membership Blaire Wilson is the senior associate director of the Honor Council and Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Emory College of Arts & Sciences at Emory University. Wilson has worked in higher education since 2014 with a concentration in university disciplinary processes. While overseeing the honor code process in the Emory College of Arts & Sciences, she also teaches a practicum course every fall and spring semester. The practicum course serves as the primary training mechanism for students serving on the honor council. Wilson has developed educational training programs for students, drafted academic integrity policies, and produced resources for faculty. Wilson also manages the assessment, data collection, and data reporting for the program.

Murphy, Greer University of California Santa Cruz ICAI Secretary Greer Murphy, Ed.D., is Director of the Academic Integrity Office at the University of California, Santa Cruz. A passionate advocate for feminist/ethnographic/applied approaches to scientific inquiry, Murphy’s research includes academic integrity and faculty development; multilingual writers and writing program administration; and policy process as it supports institutional development and change. Her work has appeared in special issues of the Journal of College & Character and Workplace, as well as several edited collections. She holds degrees in education, applied linguistics, and political science. Outside the university setting, you are likeliest to find her hiking and/or practicing some form of martial arts.

Moriarty, Christian Professor of Ethics and Law and Academic Chair of the Applied Ethics Institute College of Policy, Ethics, & Legal Studies at St. Petersburg College ICAI Treasurer Christian Moriarty is a Professor of Ethics and Law and Academic Chair of the Applied Ethics Institute with the College of Policy, Ethics, & Legal Studies at St. Petersburg College. Professor Moriarty received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Sciences at the University of South Florida, his Master’s degree in Bioethics from USF, his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, and is a licensed attorney with the Florida Bar. He teaches Applied Ethics, Medical Ethics, Business Ethics, Legal Ethics, Business Law, and Art Law. He researches and presents on such subjects as academic plagiarism, using humor and empathy in the classroom, and higher education law and ethics. Professor Moriarty also serves on the Executive Board of the International Center for Academic Integrity.

Bunbury, Stephen Senior Lecturer in Law University of Westminster ICAI Board Member Stephen Bunbury is the strategic lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Academic Integrity and Senior Lecturer in Law for the University of Westminster Law School. He is also the academic integrity advisor and lead academic at the University where he provides advice, support and guidance for staff on academic integrity matters. He is chair for academic misconduct panels across the University and is a founding member of London South East Academic Integrity Network (LSEAIN). He is the founder and Chair of the International Day of Action Working Group for the LSEAIN. Stephen has extensive experience dealing with quality assurance and academic integrity matters. Stephen brings to the ICAI Board wide ranging experience of strategic leadership roles within higher education. He publishes regularly in the areas of disability discrimination, equality law and higher education. He is widely cited as an expert in disability discrimination, higher education and leads on internal and external funded collaborative projects in higher education and inclusion. Stephen also serves as a Non-Executive Director for Inclusion London.

Davis, Mary Academic Integrity Lead Oxford Brookes University ICAI Board Member Dr. Mary Davis is Academic Integrity Lead and Principal Lecturer for Education and the Student Experience in the Business School, Oxford Brookes University, UK. In her Academic Integrity Lead role, she advises staff and students, develops and updates policies and creates teaching resources for staff and students. She has been a researcher of academic integrity since 2005 and based her PhD in Education (2014) on students’ development of competence in their use of sources for writing. She co-authored the study skills book 'Referencing and Understanding Plagiarism' and has written book chapters including 'How much can you copy?', ‘Inclusion in academic integrity: improving policy, pedagogy and practice’ and ‘How do we guide students about proofreading? Institutional policies, study skills advice and teaching’. She is an active member of the London and South East Academic Integrity Network and leads a funded collaborative project across 4 UK universities to improve inclusive practice in academic integrity. She is interested in AI tools and other pedagogical projects related to supporting staff and students with academic integrity.

Gallego Salazar, Daniela Directora de apoyo Tec de Monterrey ICAI Board Member Daniela Gallego is Ethics and Management Director at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she coordinates the Academic Integrity Program. She has a Ph.D. in Ethics and Democracy from Valencia University, a Master's in Corporate Social Responsibility from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and a degree in Political Science from the Universidad de los Andes in Venezuela. She has participated in several international projects, including the Global Integrity Project of the Office for the Fight against Drugs and Crime, developed by the United Nations, which began in 2020. She has been a professor of Ethics and Citizenship at Tecnológico de Monterrey and guest professor at ESAN in Lima, the Colombian Chair of Citizenship, Integrity, and Fight against Corruption; at Alicante University, among others. As coordinator of the Academic Integrity Program, she designs strategies for preventing misconduct, promoting, and strengthening the academic integrity commitment of students and teachers. The program is run on 34 campuses and attends 100,000 students.

Miron, Jennie Humber College -- ITAL ICAI Board Member Dr. Jennie Miron is a full-time nursing professor at the Humber Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning (ITAL), in Toronto, Canada, and past winner of the 2017 Humber President's The Extra Mile Award. Jennie has over 40 years of nursing experience in a variety of acute care (pediatric and adult) and academic settings. She completed her doctoral research in the content area of academic integrity and successfully defended her research study entitled "Academic Integrity and Senior Nursing Undergraduate Clinical Practice" in 2016. Dr. Miron has worked tirelessly to promote academic integrity across the post-secondary sector in Ontario, Canada through her teaching, research, and her past role of College Liaison Academic Integrity Council of Ontario (AICO), and current roles as Chair of AICO, and Board Member at the International Centre for Academic Integrity (ICAI). She has presented and published on the topic of academic integrity and is currently an invited author for a chapter in the first edition of the textbook Academic Integrity in Canada. She recently chaired the ICAI International Day of Action (IDoA) against Contract Cheating international planning subcommittee--2020. She serves on the editorial board for the publication of Canadian Perspectives on Academic Integrity. Jennie is committed to efforts and initiatives that promote and strengthen integrity within communities of learning and strongly believes we all have a part to play in acculturating students to the values of honesty, trust, fairness, respect, responsibility, and courage.

Pizarro, Gonzalo Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile ICAI Board Member Dr. Gonzalo Pizarro is a civil engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC) where he is a full-time professor in the Department of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering. He also serves as the university’s Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the Academic Vice-Chancellorship. He holds a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Pizarro specializes in the biological treatment of wastewater and the mathematical modelling of biofilms and biocorrosion. He has published articles in international scientific journals and has also participated as a project manager or consulting engineer in engineering projects in Chile for public and private companies. Among his projects, he has also promoted the Honor Code at UC and the installation of an academic integrity policy.

Snead-Greene, Cheryle Assistant Provost Prairie View A&M University ICAI Board Member Dr. Cheryle D. Snead-Greene is the Assistant Provost for Academic Policy and Compliance in the Office of Academic Affairs at Prairie View A&M University- A Member of the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS). Her duties include the overall administration, coordination, review, and development of University Academic Policies and University Academic Rules (in accordance with TAMUS Regulations); and conducting appropriate internal investigations on behalf of the Office of Academic Affairs and the Office of Human Resources. She is the lead administrator of academic integrity and serves on both the Academic Integrity Review Board and the Student Conduct Board. She is also an active Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board – Certification Advisory Council member. Dr. Snead-Greene is an alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin (Ph.D.), Prairie View A&M University (M.A.), Kent State University (M.A.), and the University of Akron (B.A.). She has written a number of articles and book chapters and made many scholarly presentations. Additionally, she holds the title of Assistant Professor of the Practice and teaches Sociology.
