Activate your engagement in academic integrity in 2026! Here are some recommended New Year’s resolutions – let’s make it a great year for academic integrity!

  1. Join an academic integrity network/community/consortium, whether regional, national or international: check out the ICAI consortia
  2. Attend an academic integrity event (presentation, webinar, conference, summer series, IDoA)
  3. Read and share the news about academic integrity (eg ICAI Highlights)
  4. Write a blog (eg for ICAI #IntegrityMatters)
  5. Present on academic integrity (eg at institutional conferences)
  6. Have a chat with colleagues who are less involved in academic integrity
  7. Look into the courageous conversation approach to academic integrity
  8. Discuss academic integrity and ethical AI directly with your students and listen to their views and concerns (eg via an AI Hub)
  9. Activate the ICAI Fundamental Values in your approach to AI (see blog by Camilla Roberts)
  10. Support the work in your institution to update assignments to be fit for purpose in the age of AI.

What are your New Year's resolutions for academic integrity? Please get in touch to share them.

Have a wonderful New Year! I look forward to connecting with you on academic integrity.
