by Mary Davis
It’s here!
Our program of live events for the 10th International Day of Action for Academic Integrity on October 15 is now available – please check it out, register to attend and join us!
Contributions
We have about 90 panelists for IDoA this year from at least 20 countries, with 60 Faculty/staff and about 30 students. Huge thanks in advance to all the contributors for their efforts, and many thanks to all those working on IDoA2025, including brilliant co-chair Rachel Gorjup, and IDoA Committee members (Hannah Gifford, Luz Godina, Thomas Lancaster, Sue Hackett, Iryna Pavlova, Jennie Miron and Zeenath Reza Khan) and the faculty and student working groups.
Students
Students are at the heart of IDoA. This year we have seven sessions involving students from multiple locations and levels, including academic integrity superheroes and student ambassadors from Australia and Dubai, student integrity stories from Gaza, students from the UK debating integrity decisions, high school students from the USA discussing everyday integrity, students from the Latin American network discussing living with integrity and doctoral students from New Zealand talking about ways to maintain integrity.
Staff/Faculty and beyond
We have a wide range of debates and discussion sessions, including a debate among psychology professors about acting honestly, a discussion of the importance of the ICAI Fundamental Values to integrity in society, international perspectives on the hidden risks of AI use for integrity, a discussion of integrity beyond the classroom, and a discussion on what everyday integrity looks like in an academic integrity office. We’ll be going beyond academia to discuss everyday integrity in the workplace and in everyday life decisions. There’ll also be a special ICAI Conference announcement – not only for 2026 but also 2027!
Join us as IDoA attendee!
Join us for IDoA for lots of activities to engage in the day! We’ll encourage you to participate in the Zoom chat with discussion, exchanges, useful links etc. We’ll have some Mentimeter polls for you to engage in, and opportunities to ask questions to the panels of students and staff/faculty. We’ll invite you to share what you are doing for IDoA, especially in the session breaks, and to post any insights you gain from our events on social media. We look forward to lively discussions with you.
Pre-event
We’ll be holding a pre-event on October 1 with a global look at ways to mark IDoA2025, a student panel discussion and the very popular annual IDoA discussion between Thomas Lancaster and Irene Glendinning. Registration for the pre-event coming soon.
Resources
We have a set of open-access downloadable resources which we have made specifically for the day including design your own academic integrity superhero! Our resources will be available on the IDoA2025 website by October 1.
Student comic strip event
We have an exciting student comic strip contest this year, based on our theme of everyday integrity: discovering your superpower. See contest rules and submission form. Enter by 23.59 EST on October 15, 2025
Thanks again to everyone already for all their work and contributions to IDoA2024. Now we just need attendees on the day! Don’t forget to register, please promote widely and look forward to seeing you soon for a great Day of Action!
