Board member emeritus is an honorific that recognizes members of the board of directors that have served the organization with distinction and excellence. Many have remained actively involved in ICAI beyond their service to the board. The board of directors looks to the emeritus board for historical perspective on issues confronted by the board and may participate in meetings of the board of directors as a non-voting member.About

1) How have the ways you work in investigating misuse of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) changed, or not changed, over the past few years? Justin: As LLMs have developed and their outputs have improved, the task of investigating misuse of Gen AI has gotten more challenging. The methods we used for investigations have not changed significantly over the past few years. Rather, the question of what constitutes valid or sufficient evidence of misuse of Gen AI has become more complicated.

Session two of the ICAI Summer Intensive Webinar, held June 11, 2026, brought together Jasper Roe, Cory Scurr, and a lively group of attendees to discuss the importance of redesigning assessment to better incorporate Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). Participants engaged in a robust discussion of assessment redesign and applied recommended redesign methods through scenario-based practice. Jasper and Cory also provided us with a redesign toolkit to use by instructors across disciplines.

Jasper: If we are being honest, I think that even though we’re about 4 years into widespread GenAI models, not a lot has changed. This is because models keep getting better, new capabilities are developed, and technologies such as detectors promise to help, then fail to be useful in the real world.
