Conference Format: ICAI will be offering pre-conference workshops and consortium meetings on March 7, 2024, with the full conference program taking place March 8-10, 2024.

Virtual attendees will have access to 10 pre-recorded concurrent sessions, and 3 live-streamed events including the welcome/keynote speaker, featured panel on artificial intelligence, and the town hall and award ceremony. No other sessions will be made available in a pre-recorded or live-streamed format.

 

Theme areas: Conference proposals are welcomed on any topic related to academic integrity, under the following theme areas:

  • Current Research (i.e., published work, ongoing research, manuscript presentations, assessment projects, sharing research findings, discussing current research trends and areas for further research, theoretical frameworks in academic integrity)
  • Student, Institutional, Practitioner experiences (i.e., academic integrity programming, student involvement, student-led academic integrity initiatives, innovative ways instructors have engaged students with academic integrity, results to implemented policies, campus collaborations, etc.)
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (i.e., in what ways are you or your institution incorporating DEI principles into your academic integrity policies or programming)
  • Policy Issues (i.e., adjudication issues, how to create a robust academic integrity policy, renewing your academic integrity policy, etc.)

 

Presentations will be 40 minutes (with approximately 30-35 minutes for the presentation and 5-10 minutes for questions). Presentations may be led by no more than 3 presenters. We encourage project acknowledgements for contributors that are not presenting.

Note: We encourage no more than 3 submissions that bear your name. If you submit multiple program proposals; you will only be allowed to be lead on one program. The Conference Program Committee will communicate with you if they accept multiple programs in which you are lead author so you can determine which to accept.

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Relevance and Broad Appeal
  • Alignment with Conference Theme(s)
  • Stated Learning Outcomes
  • Novelty, Innovation and Creativity
  • Organization and Format

Please note that there will be no live-streamed or fully remote presentations. Presenters submitting proposals must be prepared to deliver this content in-person at the conference in Calgary. Additionally, by submitting a proposal, presenters agree to pre-record their session upon request so that this content may be shared to virtual attendees. Recordings will be done 3-4 weeks in advance of the conference. All presenters are expected to be available for a live presentation and question and answer period.

 

Submission of Poster Proposal: The Conference Committee welcomes the submission of posters for our Poster Session on the evening of Friday, March 8, 2024. Posters can be an overview of academic integrity programming on campus or online, research in progress, academic integrity support resources, or other topics. We especially encourage submissions from students.

Consider Volunteering: Looking for ways to get involved with ICAI? The conference committee is seeking volunteers to serve as program proposal reviewers. Program proposals will be distributed to reviewers between November 27 and December 11, 2023. Reviews will have 2 weeks to submit their scores. Please consider volunteering to review program proposals and helping shape the conference program.
